What is Extended Validation SSL?
The explosive growth in phishing attacks and other fraudulent web activity has eroded consumer confidence in doing business online. According to Gartner, nearly $2 billion in e-commerce sales were lost in 2006 due to security concerns by consumers.1 Extended Validation (EV) is the Internet security industry’s answer to this problem. It is a new, more stringent digital certificate standard for web site identity authentication. EV SSL Certificates combine the encryption power of traditional SSL Certificates with a new strict vetting process for establishing the true identity of a web site. New high-security browsers display EV SSL Certificates to end users in a highly visible manner. A recent study by Tec-Ed found that 100% of users expected to notice when sites display the distinctive interface features of EV.

In IE7 the address bar immediately turns a highly visible green color when an EV SSL Certificate is recognized. In addition to the color change, the gold padlock and a field to the right of the URL appears. What is special about EV and why is it better?
EV SSL Certificates are the first SSL Certificates to meet an industry standard for a strict level of identity authentication. Traditional SSL Certificates have ranged from strong to weak to no identity authentication depending on the specific certificate offering. This has made it difficult for the end user to understand the level of assurance they receive when visiting a web site secured with an SSL Certificate. Self-signing and weak authentication have opened the door to questionable or sometimes downright fraudulent web sites being secured by SSL Certificates. Until now there was no way for an end user to immediately see upon visiting a web site that it has met high standards for identity authentication.

Microsoft IE7 supports Extended Validation SSL. Other popular Internet browsers, such as Firefox and Opera, have announced that they will be supporting Extended Validation SSL in future releases. The green address bar interface will function automatically on Windows Vista client systems running IE7 with Microsoft's recommended default configuration settings.

All warranty service for original customers is provided by the manufacturer of the product purchased. Warranty terms vary from product to product. Please be sure that you read the manufacturer’s warranty terms and conditions as soon as you receive your product. To use the manufacturer’s warranty, please check your owner’s manual for the customer service number of the manufacturer of the product you purchased. You can e-mail us at service@scalesolutionsllc.com and we can assist you in obtaining the correct customer service number. You will be responsible for all shipping cost associated with returning the scale/balance to the manufacturer.

Pricing, specification, and availability of our products are subject to change without notice. We are not responsible for typographical errors or manufacturers claims. If there is a specific feature or characteristic that you must have -- please mention it at the time of the quote or worst case at the time of the order placement. We can check and see if the feature is included and save all of us a lot of time and effort. We are not responsible for the extra costs and trouble that is caused by customer's who order the wrong item or assume that certain equipment will do certain things. Please, ask before you buy!
DELIVERY/SHIPPING
Any additional charges for changes in delivery address will be the responsibility of the customer. Our responsibility ceases when product is shipped.
We suggest shipping your package with additional insurance coverage. This protects your package from damage or loss.
Note: Many times delivery drivers will leave packages on the front porch, in the garage, at the front door, etc... and never get a signature. If you're concerned that your package could be stolen before you are able to retrieve it, you need to mention that at the time of ordering so that we can request that the delivery driver must get a signature before leaving the item. Or, you can have the item shipped where you know it will be signed for.
Otherwise, if your item is delivered and then stolen, we are not responsible for that and you will have to work with your local police and/or the delivery company to try and find your item.
Freight Collect -- we make every attempt to honor your wishes and ship collect and charge the freight to your account number. However, sometimes that is either not possible or freight charges end up being prepaid and added to your bill. In the event you request freight collect shipping and the charges end up being added to your bill instead, you are STILL responsible for the shipping costs.
Sales Tax
We charge sales tax for merchandise ordered on this Web site based on the applicable state sales tax rate and the location to which the order is being shipped.

RETURN/REFUND POLICY
We will work with you to resolve any issue.
Every item we sell is carefully inspected before it is shipped. If merchandise is defective or damaged upon receipt, please contact us immediately after your package arrives for a return authorization claim number at service@scalesolutionsllc.com . All claims MUST be made within 10 days of receipt of order. Shipping charges will not be refunded. Returned products must be in absolutely new and unused condition for refund.
Returns for credit are subject to the terms and conditions of the manufacturer.
Restocking fees are applicable on any return or refund -- Despite charging the restocking fee, we lose money on returned items because of shipping, time, handling, repackaging, item depreciation, credit card transaction fees, and other costs.
CUSTOM/SPECIAL ORDERS

A 50% deposit by check or credit card will be required on all special or custom orders.
